MY21, MY22 Ghibli and Quattroporte V8 – Fuel Line Replacement
Maserati
S.p.A. and Maserati
North America, Inc., (“MNA”) have decided that a defect that relates to motor vehicle safety exists in some MY 2021 and MY 2022 Quattroporte, MY 2021 and MY 2022 Ghibli vehicles, that may have been equipped with certain fuel line sensor housings.
Description of Vehicle Safety Recall #718
Maserati
S.p.A. and MNA have determined that the above-described vehicles may contain a safety defect in the fuel line sensor housing that may crack and leak fuel. The fuel line sensor fuel leak may cause fuel starvation of the engine. In rare circumstances, if the leaked fuel comes in contact with an ignition source, a fire could occur. Fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle, as well as property damage.
This repair procedure will be performed free of charge to the vehicle owner.

Q21 Emissions Recall Documents Required For California Residents ONLY:
A. The State of California requires the completion of emissions recall repairs prior to vehicle registration renewal. Your dealer will provide you with a Vehicle Emissions Recall Proof of Correction Form after the recall service is performed. Be sure to save this form since the California Department of Motor Vehicles may require that you supply it as proof that the recall has been performed.
In order to ensure your full protection under the emissions warranty provisions, it is recommended that you have your vehicle serviced as soon as possible. Failure to do so could be determined as lack of proper maintenance of your vehicle.
